Biography

Megan Fernandes is a writer living in New York City. She is the author of The Kingdom and After (Tightrope Books 2015) and Good Boys (Tin House Books 2020) which was a finalist for the Kundiman Book Prize and the Saturnalia Book Prize. She has been widely published in many prestigious magazines, including The New Yorker, Ploughshares, and Chicago Review. Megan is also a comedy writer, and her humorous articles have been published in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. Megan received her MFA in poetry from Boston University and her PhD in English from the University of California. She is an Assistant Professor for English at Lafayette College where she teaches poetry, creative nonfiction, and critical theory.
